CENTUS - AT THE CENTER OF HEALINGNoted theologian/author, Norman Vincent Peale, said, The Samaritan program is one of the best and most needed ministries in the United States today. With its understanding of the role that spiritual values play in health care, and with the people who are involved, it will make a difference in our country’s health care system.
For 26 years, many individuals, foundations and corporate sponsors have helped support and guide CENTUS Conseling, Consulting & Education in its mission –
To promote healing and wholeness in mind, body, spirit, and community for individuals, families and organizations in convenient locations throughout metropolitan Denver.
The CENTUS organization celebrated its 25th Anniversary in 2007. On July 17, 2006, we changed our name to CENTUS Counseling, Consulting & Education to present our expanding services to the public with greater clarity. The original Samaritan Counseling Center opened in Denver on January 4, 1982 as a non-profit counseling center.
Our organization remains accredited by the Samaritan Institute. CENTUS is one of 500 Samaritan Center offices in 365 cities in the United States and Japan, making the Samaritan centers one of the country's largest providers of outpatient counseling, matching, if not exceeding, even the National Mental Health Association. Samaritan Centers like ours donate more than $21,300,000 of subsidized counseling each year to people who cannot afford the full cost of professional mental health therapy.
CENTUS client testimonials say it all:
“You saved our marriage.”“Thank you. I have my daughter back!”
"Before my counseling, I was barely surving; with my counselor's support, I am thriving."
