To consult with organizations, businesses, and congregations to identify needs and facilitate optimal functioning.

To offer educational groups, classes, seminars, and workshops to clients, the professional community, and the general public to enhance
skills for healthy living.
To train our professional staff to incorporate a client’s spiritual and religious resources, if requested, into the counseling, consultation or educational experience.

Financial support for our general operation, endowment fund, and fee subsidy to those in need comes through strong relationships with area congregations, businesses, foundations, community organizations, and individuals. We maintain high quality, nationally recognized standards in the services we provide. The CENTUS staff and board seek both to manifest and to promote health and vitality in mind, body, spirit, and community in fulfilling our mission.

CENTUS Counseling, Consulting & Education’s tax ID number is 84-1044412. CENTUS is exempt under section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue code and is a public charity under section 509(a)(2) of the Internal Revenue Code.
CENTUS organization celebrated its 25th Anniversary in 2007. On July 17, 2006, we changed our name to CENTUS Counseling, Consulting & Education to present our expanding services to the public with greater clarity. The original Samaritan Counseling Center opened in Denver in 1982 as a non-profit counseling center.
Our organization remains accredited by the Samaritan Institute. CENTUS is one of 500 Samaritan Center offices in 365 cities in the United States and Japan, making the Samaritan centers one of the country's largest providers of outpatient counseling, matching, if not exceeding, even the National Mental Health Association. Samaritan Centers like ours donate more than $21,300,000 of subsidized counseling each year to people who cannot afford the full cost of professional mental health therapy.
In 2007 CENTUS Counseling, Consulting & Education donated $372,594.00 in subsidized care to individuals and families in need of professional mental health care throughout Front Range communities. Since 1982, CENTUS’ professional clinical staff has provided over 110,000 hours of direct clinical services.
CENTUS is unique in that it’s therapists have always offered professional counseling, consulting and education services that emphasize the connection between mind, body, spirit, and community. CENTUS is a referral source for other mental health providers as well as organizations like Adams County Social Services, The Denver Hospice, Colorado Children’s Health Access Program, Victim’s Advocacy, Vocational Rehabilitation, and Rape Assistance and Awareness.
