Denise Killmer Magoto, MA, LPC, LAC, has been involved with the mental health field for the past 20 years. Denise has been a clinician with Centus Counseling, Consulting, and Education in metro Denver since the fall of 2018 and has also been serving as Centus’s education coordinator since November of 2019. In addition to these roles, Denise is a doctoral candidate, working on a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision. Denise is a licensed professional counselor and licensed addiction counselor with the state of Colorado, and she is a member of the American Counseling Association and the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision. Denise is intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT); has received basic training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR); is certified in trauma-informed yoga, has completed an Advanced Training in Spiritually-Integrated Psychotherapy; and has extensive experience in suicide and crisis hotline and in-person interventions. Denise also has experience in teaching clinician trainings, facilitating various group therapies, and providing presentations on a wide-array of mental health topics.
