Life can be hard. Changes, whether thrust upon us or of our own making, can lead to anxiety, depression, and feeling isolated. Perhaps your relationship that was once fulfilling now feels lifeless. That meaningful career you chose has become stalled. Your excitement of becoming an adult and living on your own is now daunting and overwhelming. An illness or death have thrown your calm life into chaos. An act of violence or trauma leave you feeling afraid and isolated.

My life’s work has been coming alongside people like you, as they cope with and grow from various life challenges. As a classroom teacher, I helped students learn and apply new concepts. As a pastor and hospital chaplain, I was present at some of life’s most joyful moments, and also at many of life’s most difficult experiences. As a mental health professional, I provide a safe and open space for you to explore your unique situation and undo the feelings of aloneness. I utilize evidence-based practices and techniques, including CBT and EMDR, to assist with your personal growth and healing.

Making a first appointment takes courage. I want to remove possible barriers to taking this step, therefore, I am available for both in-person and virtual appointments. As a counseling resident under the supervision of Paul Bretz, D.Min., LCSW I am supported by colleagues to provide you with the highest level of quality care.

I work with children and adolescents, from age 8 to 18; young adults, adults, and older adults. I primarily provide individual therapy, and am open to working with couples and families.
